TES - RFID Lab Field Team Technician

Overview

This position will be located in Bentonville/Fayetteville, Arkansas. The RFID Lab at Auburn University is seeking a detail-oriented employee from various disciplines to perform RFID in-store testing and audits. This role involves fieldwork at partner locations, including RFID tag audits, barcode audits, and RFID cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection tests to investigate the performance of large-scale RFID deployments.
• Retail merchandise RFID tagging and testing with RFID readers to assess tag quality and readability.
• Conduct in-store barcode/inventory audits.
• Occasionally participate in in-lab demonstrations and testing.
• Travel to partner locations outside of the Bentonville/Fayetteville area as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of RFID components and their functioning in real-world environments.
• Ability to properly tag merchandise and ensure accurate encoding for optimal readability.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow test protocols in live environments without disrupting store operations.
