About the role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Representative is a key link between the company and its account base of collision repair shops in the assigned region. The objective is to identify and sell prospective customers who can benefit from Empire's unique value proposition, and once acquired, drive profitable and recurring revenue growth through exceptional service with existing customers by ensuring their aftermarket part needs are met consistently. This role is focused on new revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed revenue objectives for assigned territory/account base and work with peers to achieve regional revenue objectives.
- Penetrate assigned accounts with a well-structured contact strategy, incorporating phone, email, and face-to-face contact.
- Identify new opportunities, primarily via Internet research, customer referrals, and observation during market visits.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to retain sold customers and monitor customer order activity to proactively address any declines or irregularities.
- Address customer issues or concerns promptly to prevent churn.
- Ensure sold customers receive the proper products and services on time and collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve delivery or service issues.
- Stay current on Empire corporate and operational information (locations, products, delivery schedules, etc.) to provide value to accounts.
- Maintain NPS score greater than 60 and return rate of 12% or less for assigned accounts.
- Promptly, accurately, and thoroughly document all customer interactions in Empire's ERP system.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market conditions to management.
- Collect and act on customer feedback to improve products, services, and the overall customer experience; respond to feedback from Voice of Customer surveys.
- Work closely with internal teams to share best practices and support a unified customer service approach.
- Gather and report market and competitive information to help the company adjust strategies and offerings.
- Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs to provide relevant solutions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic, commitment, and proactive mindset.
- Knowledge of and interest in automobiles, including parts and functionality, is desired.
- Sales experience with smaller/startup companies preferred.
- Multilingual skills desired.

Physical Requirements
- Extensive travel, sometimes covering large territories, visiting collision repair shops, auto body workshops, and other potential clients; may require long hours on the road.
- Handling and moving auto parts, such as bumpers, fenders, or hoods; may need to lift, carry, and maneuver these parts during presentations or client assistance.
- Comfortable working in varying environments, such as noisy, dusty, or chemically exposed collision repair shops.
- Good driving skills, valid driver's license, and familiarity with navigation tools.
