This role is responsible for managing a defined book of business while identifying new opportunities through data analysis, end-user engagement, and collaboration with key distributors. This is not a route-sales role — it’s a strategic field position for high-performing, entrepreneurial sales professionals who want to own their territory, build distributor alignment, and drive measurable results. Candidates should ideally be based in Houston to best support the territory; strong candidates located in Austin or San Antonio will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined regional territory by developing annual business plans focused on revenue growth, margin expansion, and new account acquisition.
  • Partner strategically with distribution and key channel partners to drive sell-through, product training, and category penetration.
  • Leverage solution-based selling to identify customer challenges and position Pearl products as value-driven solutions.
  • Execute account plans including joint business reviews, promotional planning, and category expansion initiatives.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities; translate insights into actionable territory plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and product management to deliver consistent customer experiences.
  • Train and support distributor sales teams on Pearl products, applications, and profitability.
  • Represent the Pearl brand at trade shows, jobsite demos, and industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in B2B sales within the industrial, construction, or MRO channels.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals within a multi-distributor environment.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in territory planning, account development, and solution selling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of influencing at multiple levels of a distributor organization.
  • Technical aptitude to understand applications and end-user challenges.
  • Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70–80% within territory (some overnights required).

Pay

Competitive base salary + uncapped commission structure, car allowance.

Benefits

  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), and PTO.
  • Growing, performance-driven company backed by front-line leadership and strong financial support.
  • Opportunity to own your region and directly influence Pearl’s national growth strategy.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture built around excellence, accountability, and customer focus.
