About the role

As the Territory Sales Manager, you will support overall sales and organizational goals covering the Dallas-Arkansas-North Louisiana market. This position will assist existing and new customers in meeting or exceeding their business objectives by selling and demonstrating the Smart Storage brands, Vidmar® and LISTA®. Your achievements will include meeting sales quotas, profit targets, and expanding the customer base through direct and distribution sales models. You will be responsible for increasing sales and market share by creating and executing a sales plan in the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the business within the assigned territory by maintaining existing customer relationships and generating new business through relationship development, cold calling, and customer meetings.
  • Analyze competitor activities in the region and assess opportunities for business development.
  • Stay updated with industry news and trends to identify opportunities for new business.
  • Attend relevant industry events and conferences to generate business and sales as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer, customer service, and manufacturing facility.
  • Work to achieve revenue targets and KPIs such as product quotas, yearly sales quotas, new product development (NPD) sales requirements, and minimum quote funnel requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate activities with the Regional Sales Manager, other Territory Sales Managers, Segment Managers, National Distribution Manager, and other representatives who could assist with projects or accounts.
  • Develop a complete knowledge and understanding of all Vidmar® and LISTA® products.
  • Conduct distributor and end-user product training on all products and offerings, including existing products, new products, and additional services (literature, digital applications, and tools).
  • Develop and leverage distributor partnerships to meet assigned territory revenue targets.
  • Manage and operate within a specific Travel and Entertainment budget.
  • Abide by all Stanley Black & Decker Business Conduct rules and regulations.
  • Travel within the territory to call on end users and distribution, meeting and working with local Territory Sales Managers to drive sales. Limited additional travel (outside of territory) may be required for training and company-wide meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Business, Sales, Management, or equivalent fields).
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in industrial products or related complex commercial product sales.
  • Experience with direct sales as well as through dealer/distributors preferred.
  • Ability to develop and present programs to both customers and the sales organization.
  • Proficient with computers, MS Office products, and CAD software.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated with high energy.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute responsibilities working independently.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Ability to travel every day within the territory to attend sales meetings and/or shows as required.
  • Required to work and travel on weekends and outside core business hours as needed for business events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Willingness to travel (50%).

Pay

The total target cash compensation range for this position is $84,000.00 - $135,240.00. This range reflects the lowest to highest total target cash compensation at the time of posting and may vary depending on job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and compliance with local wage requirements. This role is eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission, with the total target cash compensation inclusive of base salary and target variable cash compensation. The successful candidate may also be eligible for annual merit increases.
