Territory Sales Manager - Birmingham, AL (Postpartum Depression)

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales objectives by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plans in an assigned territory. This role provides current, accurate, and meaningful product information to physicians and customers to drive sales of Supernus products while maintaining compliance with all policies governing sales activity.
Responsibilities
- Meets all quarterly sales objectives for Supernus products within the designated territory.
- Implements marketing and sales strategies as directed.
- Participates in off-site sales meetings and training programs as required.
- Demonstrates mastery of selling skills as outlined in the Initial Sales Training program and subsequent Plan of Action (P.O.A.) meetings.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Supernus products, competitive products, and support services.
- Maintains effective interactions with all company employees.
- Keeps up-to-date call records for physicians and other key customers.
- Adheres to company policies for distribution of marketing materials and samples.
- Submits reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Develops and maintains a physician universe and territory management plan for efficient coverage and call frequency on high-volume physicians and key customers.
- Assists with special projects as assigned by management (e.g., managed care pull-through programs, pre-launch initiatives, customer support outside of designated territory).
- Develops and maintains a positive business climate for the Company.
- Consults with Management on unusual problems or situations.
- Reads and follows the Company’s policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of outside Business-to-Business (B2B) sales experience.
- Must possess excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making ability.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Office).
- Must produce documented sales results and examples of awards/achievements.
- Must live or reside within the assigned territory or be willing to relocate within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high ethical standards of integrity and quality.

- Authorized to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting Requirements: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to pick up, move, and/or carry objects (e.g., marketing materials, product samples).
- Walking: Intermittent walking and moving about from location to location.
- Visual Acuity: Required for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and operating motor vehicles.
- Driving and Travel: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to drive and travel required, including overnight stays (30-70% dependent on assigned territory).
- May be required to work evenings and/or weekends to attend scheduled conferences, training events, and/or sales meetings.
Pay
The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $100,000 to $110,000. This range may be modified in the future. An individual’s salary within the range is based on factors such as education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience, and organizational needs.
