Territory Sales Manager - AL/TN

About the role

The Industrial Products Territory Sales Manager position is a key role within Continental ContiTech. This role is responsible for developing new business and increasing market share in a specified geographical territory (Alabama and Tennessee), utilizing Continental’s Authorized Distributor Network in the industrial sector. Responsibilities include leveraging existing relationships, prospecting new opportunities, and educating local distributors and end-users on Continental’s value-added products and services.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate new business partnerships with existing and new customers (distributors and end-users) in the industrial sector to achieve Annual Operating Plan goals for revenue and profitability.
• Promote and sell engineered products, programs, and services to end users through Continental’s Authorized Distributor Network.
• Train distributors and end-users on new products and product applications.
• Develop and implement a plan to regularly meet with customers to service existing accounts and secure new distributor and end-user business.
• Participate in industry trade shows to promote products and services.
• Utilize business and information technology tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Business Funnel, Territory Share Management) to manage territory activities and drive financial performance.
• Maintain a working knowledge of current industry standards.
• Inspect conveyor systems, plant equipment, and manufacturing environments to survey equipment and offer value-added solutions, including working in close quarters and at heights.

This role requires 50% travel with overnight stays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant sales experience (or 4 years of sales experience in lieu of a degree).
• Competent in computer programs, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Experience working in an industrial setting.
• Experience conducting presentations and customer meetings.
• Experience training customers and end-users.
• Ability to use and learn CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must reside within the territory (Alabama or Tennessee), preferably in Huntsville, Birmingham, or Nashville.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (relocation expenses will not be covered).
