Responsibilities

  • Achieves and grows sales performance across assigned territories by managing both ENT and Surgical Endoscopy product portfolios, including capital equipment, devices, and consumables.
  • Maintains and expands existing business through account development, product conversions, and strategic customer engagement.
  • Serves as the primary clinical, technical, and commercial liaison between Olympus and healthcare professionals, ensuring customer satisfaction, product adoption, and compliance with company policies.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of assigned business, product lines, pricing strategies, and sales techniques for surgical products.
  • Establishes and maintains field contact with key customers, clinicians, researchers, and decision-makers in assigned accounts.
  • Achieves sales quotas for products within assigned business areas.
  • Conducts in-service training programs at customer accounts (hospitals, ASCs, and clinics).
  • Develops rapport with personnel and healthcare professionals at target teaching hospitals.
  • Establishes and maintains sales under regional or national buying group contracts.
  • Assists product managers with field projects, including test markets, market surveys, product evaluations, and competitive research.
  • Communicates territory strategic business plans, sales calls, follow-ups, market potential, and pricing or promotional recommendations to sales management.
  • Builds and maintains enthusiasm for products within the assigned area.
  • Plans activity calendar and organizes time to achieve agreed-upon goals.
  • Assists with major national conventions and local/regional meetings as determined by sales management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of prior sales or marketing experience.
  • Working knowledge of PC word processing and analytical software.
  • Ability to travel within territory daily, with occasional travel outside the territory (overnight stays may be required).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Adherence to all customer and vendor credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Sales, Marketing, or related business field).
  • Prior sales or marketing experience with medical devices or in a hospital/medical environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting ENT, Surgical, or procedural-based product portfolios.
  • Specialized knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and disease states relevant to ENT and Surgical applications.
  • Proven track record of sales success in a competitive, quota-driven environment.
