About the role
Colgate-Palmolive Company is a global consumer products company operating in over 200 countries, specializing in Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Skin Care, and Pet Nutrition. Hills, a division of Colgate-Palmolive, is seeking a Territory Manager based in either Philadelphia, PA or Southern New Jersey. The role focuses on managing a customer base of veterinary clinics to build omnichannel net sales, product mix, market share, and brand recommended most often (BRMO), while monitoring the competitive landscape to drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a customer base of veterinary clinics, building omnichannel net sales, volume, market share, and BRMO while improving product mix
- Ensure excellent coverage and 7Ps execution to grow net sales, drive volume, BRMO, and market share
- Promote and merchandise Hill’s products and services
- Implement the Perfect Clinic program where applicable
- Educate customers through detailing and in-clinic seminars on the economic and nutritional value of Hill’s pet diets and products
- Contribute to pets’ well-being by driving endorsement of Hill’s products
- Develop creative, customer-specific strategies and joint plans to achieve results based on customer analysis
- Leverage Hill’s commercial and professional programs to drive product experience, awareness, and endorsement
- Roll out new product launches and detail products to clinic staff to increase in-store presence and market leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid driver’s license
- 2+ years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- 2+ years of sales experience or vet clinic experience
- Sales experience in Animal Health
- Certified Veterinary Technician (NAVTA)
- Ability to relocate for future opportunities
- Excellent communication, relationship building, and presentation skills
- Highly competitive, tenacious, and self-motivated
- Strong selling skills with ability to persuade, negotiate, and close
- Excellent time management, planning, and budget handling skills
- Passion for pets and commitment to territory growth
- Good analytical skills and basic understanding of business terminology
- Strong work ethic, professional appearance and approach, and high integrity
Pay
- Salary range: $72,000 – $92,000 USD, determined by experience, qualifications, and location
