Business Development$35k/yrFull-time

Kidwell is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Territory Manager to expand our presence across Kansas and surrounding markets. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a background in low voltage, physical security, or integrated technology solutions. As a consultative sales role, you’ll focus on uncovering client needs, building relationships, and positioning the right solutions. Once the opportunity is qualified, you’ll partner with our engineering team to design and build the technical proposal.

About the role

This position stands out because Kidwell pays commission upfront—when the deal is signed, not when the project is completed. That means faster rewards for your performance, with the opportunity to earn up to $35,000 in commission during your first year based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and win new business across the Kansas City Metro, Central Kansas, and surrounding regions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and enterprise clients, becoming a trusted advisor for their technology needs.
  • Sell and promote integrated solutions including low voltage cabling, physical security systems, healthcare technologies, and A/V solutions.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery to proposal, presentation, and contract.
  • Develop compelling business cases and ROI-driven proposals tailored to client challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver winning solutions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of business-to-business sales experience.
  • Experience or familiarity with low voltage systems, structured cabling, security, or related technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-year associate’s degree is preferred but not required. Sales or industry field experience can be substituted for education.
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills with a hunter mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment with a diverse team structure.
  • Available for frequent day travel and occasional overnight travel.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Paid vacation, parental/maternity leave, holidays, and sick leave.
  • Tool/clothing stipend.
  • 401k with company match.
  • Career development potential, including reimbursement for certain certifications/trainings.
