About the role

Join our team of big mountain adventurers at the largest ski resort in Washington! We are looking for a Terrain Park Attendant to maintain a safe, high-quality terrain park by inspecting, shaping, and repairing park features, setting up signage and boundary ropes, and preparing the park for daily operations and overnight grooming.

Responsibilities

  • Performs regular maintenance of terrain park features, boundary ropes, and signage during operating hours using snow rakes, shovels, and drills
  • Prepares terrain park to be opened each day by setting up signage and boundary ropes, clearing fresh snow, and shaping snow around each feature
  • Prepares terrain park for grooming at the end of each day by removing any obstacles to snow grooming equipment, and reshaping/rebuilding feature takeoffs
  • Maintains a positive guest experience for terrain park users by acting as an ambassador to the public and setting good examples of terrain park etiquette on the mountain
  • Keeps track of and maintains tools and equipment (rakes, shovels, drills, radios etc.)
  • Inspects and tests features in the terrain park to ensure all features are free of damage, and to determine when snow maintenance is required
  • Closes features as needed when conditions or other circumstances do not allow them to be ridden safely
  • Helps in spotting/reporting any injuries in the terrain park to ski patrol

Requirements

  • Must have strong skiing/riding skills
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis, and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to safely ski or snowboard in adverse conditions and on steep terrain, including freestyle terrain
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and basic carpentry tools
  • Ability to work outside in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on a frequent basis

Pay

Wage Range: $20-21.00/hr

Schedule

This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
