Responsibilities

  • Complete Orkin’s award-winning, company-paid training to learn the skills required for daily pest control service route operations.
  • Prioritize safety in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within an assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer location.
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
  • Serve as a problem solver for customers by listening to their needs and recommending efficient, innovative solutions.
  • Prepare and install services such as attic remediations, crawlspace encapsulations, gutter protection, and radiant heat barriers for energy efficiency.
  • Set project expectations with customers and walk them through the process to ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete all required service-related documentation using a provided hand-held device for speed and accuracy.

Pay

$20 to $23 an hour.

Qualifications

  • No experience required—training provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
  • Ability to work independently in the field, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers in their homes or businesses.

Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations:

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include an OSHA-compliant respirator.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
