Terminal Operator - Newington, NH

About the role

The Terminal Operator at Sprague's Newington, NH Terminal works in a team environment with leadership to optimize efficiency while focusing on safety every shift. This position involves working with a variety of operations including oil transfers, weighing trucks, performing safety/security rounds, operating conveyor systems, assisting with maintenance, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Participating in oil transfers
• Aiding with mooring vessels
• Weighing trucks on industrial scales
• Performing safety/Security rounds of facility
• Operating conveyor system
• Assist with maintenance of grounds, buildings and/or equipment
• Occasional travel to other Sprague facilities out of state
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Ability to pass a background check and obtain a TWIC card
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a general laborer
• Knowledge of basic math
• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer knowledge
• Valid driver's license
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Skills

• Standing up to 75% of the day
• Lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Pulling up to 75 lb. capacity
• Extended climbing (tank ladders/stairs/ramps)
• Working in an outdoor, maritime environment in a variety of shifts
• Ability to work in a safe manner and maintain a constant state of alertness
