Tenure Track/ Open Rank Research Faculty in PM&R

About the role

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a candidate in the area of Rehabilitation Engineering, including, but not limited to assistive technologies, rehabilitation robotics, wearables, neural engineering, user interfaces, neuroprosthetics, remote monitoring, artificial intelligence applications to rehabilitation science, and translation of rehabilitation technologies to clinical populations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include conducting an independent and externally funded research program, participating in departmental, school, college, and university service, and teaching/mentoring trainees at various career stages.

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences, Neuromechanics, Biomechanics, Neuroengineering, Rehabilitation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related areas.
• Candidate should have demonstrated excellent capability for scholarly activity during post-doctoral research and as early career faculty.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have already established a highly competitive independent research program or will have otherwise demonstrated the clear potential to do so. The applicant’s research should include a clear pathway to translation and implementation in human clinical populations. Successful candidates will have opportunities to collaborate with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, the College of Engineering, the Ohio State Battelle Center for Science and Engineering, Public Policy, and the Ohio State University Office of Innovation and Economic Development.
