Tenure-Track Faculty Position with a focus on Air Transportation Systems, Daytona Beach Campus
About the role
The School of Graduate Studies in the College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor position with a strong preference for candidates with a background and expertise in air transportation systems, advanced air mobility, UAS traffic management, and machine learning/AI.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses at both the doctoral and master’s levels
- Chair Ph.D. dissertation and/or master’s thesis committees
- Teach in both traditional classroom formats and online formats as appropriate
- Meet ongoing scholarly growth requirements, including publishing scholarly work, obtaining externally funded research, and presenting work at professional conferences
- Fulfill service responsibilities to the university and the profession
Requirements
- A doctorate and relevant experience in air transportation systems, advanced air mobility, UAS traffic management, or related areas
Preferred Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in a closely related field
- Teaching and research experience in air transportation systems, advanced air mobility, UAS traffic management, and machine learning/AI in aviation
