About the role
The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching students, residents, and/or fellows while engaged in clinical activities or serving as lecturer for divisional and/or school educational programs.
- Clinical responsibilities may include working in the outpatient clinics and as an attending on the inpatient service within the hospitals at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and/or Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMC VAMC).
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include any aspect of basic science, clinical, translational, health policy, or health services research.
Requirements
- Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- ABIM board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or its specialties is required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a productive track record during post-doctoral research training with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary science.
- Establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations, and/or industry.
Skills
- Ability to teach effectively at various levels.
- Experience in conducting research in relevant fields.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
