Tenure Track Faculty Position in Medicine - Junior rank

About the role

The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include teaching students, residents, and/or fellows while engaged in clinical activities or serving as lecturer for divisional and/or school educational programs.
• Clinical responsibilities may include working in the outpatient clinics and as an attending on the inpatient service within the hospitals at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and/or Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMC VAMC).
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include any aspect of basic science, clinical, translational, health policy, or health services research.

Requirements

• Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
• ABIM board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or its specialties is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a productive track record during post-doctoral research training with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary science.
• Establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations, and/or industry.

Skills

• Ability to teach effectively at various levels.
• Experience in conducting research in relevant fields.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
