Texas A&M University’s Department of History in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Modern Middle East history, broadly defined, with an anticipated start date in fall 2027.

About the role

We seek a scholar whose research complements and enhances existing departmental strengths and broadens our intellectual and methodological diversity. Candidates should demonstrate a record of, or clear potential for, significant scholarly contributions. The successful candidate will maintain an ambitious, productive research agenda, teach two courses per semester, recruit and train outstanding students, and participate in university and professional affairs.
