The Hawaii Pacific Section of the USTA is seeking a Mobile Teaching Professional to provide tennis instruction for the Play and Learn program.
About the role
The Hawaii Pacific Section is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting tennis opportunities for all, particularly juniors and adults of all abilities and backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide tennis instruction for the Play and Learn program.
- Teach all ages and abilities, including private, semi-private, and group lessons.
- Facilitate instruction in a positive and safe environment.
- Communicate with students and staff daily, handle rainouts, cancellations, and other inquiries.
- Maintain, retain, and grow the student base.
- Attend training for professional development.
- Do not teach on public tennis courts without a permit.
Requirements
- High school degree required, and college preferred.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to play tennis at an NTRP level of 4.5 or higher.
- Ability to teach group tennis lessons outdoors.
- Preferred USTA Coaching, RSPA, or PTR certified at a Development Coach level or higher.
- Transportation is required, and willingness to travel to different locations.
- Able to build contacts and maintain good rapport with the community.
Qualifications

Schedule
The schedule is flexible and will be provided by the Community Tennis Director.
