Primary Responsibilities
- Provide tennis instruction for the Play and Learn program.
- Mobile teaching professional at more than one park site.
- Conduct tennis lessons based on the schedule provided by the Community Tennis Director.
Essential Duties
- Have the ability to teach all ages and abilities.
- Provide private, semi-private, and group tennis lessons.
- Facilitate instruction in a positive and safe environment.
- Be properly groomed and dressed.
- Conduct lessons in a professional and customer service-oriented manner.
- Daily communication with staff and frequent communication with the Executive Director and Director of Community Tennis.
- Handle communications with students to include rainouts, cancellations, and other questions they may have.
- Have the ability to maintain, retain and grow the student base.
- Attend training for professional development.
- Do not teach on public tennis courts without a permit.
Who You Are
- High School degree required, and college preferred.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to play tennis at an NTRP level of 4.5 or higher.
- Ability to teach group tennis lessons outdoors.
- Preferred USTA Coaching, RSPA or PTR certified tennis instructor at a Development Coach level or higher.
- Transportation is required, and you must be willing to travel to different locations.
- Requires contacts and good rapport with the community.

Pay
The base salary for this position consists of a $1,000/month base salary, plus lesson income, offering great earning potential!

The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
