Temporary Weekend Andrology Lab Technician

About the role

IVI RMA North America is seeking a Temporary Andrology Lab Technician to work every other weekend for approximately 3-4 months to cover an Leave of Absence (LOA). Hours typically range from 6:30 AM to 1 PM, though they may vary based on patient load.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and current records of patient reports and inventory.
• Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies and documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance.
• Fulfills responsibilities by following the laboratory’s policies and procedures, especially when test systems are outside established performance levels.
• Studied and stays updated with the Laboratory Operating Manual regarding quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures, and operating guidelines for all assigned laboratory services.
• Maintains a safe laboratory environment by adhering to OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operations.
• Ensures quality care by following therapeutic standards, practice, physician, and laboratory division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agencies.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care and achieve practice objectives and goals.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by keeping all patient and proprietary information confidential.

Requirements/Experience

• Minimum 6 months’ laboratory training towards a degree or relevant experience in a clinical or research lab – preferred.
• Electronic Medical Records experience – preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment, hormone analyzers, and microscopes.
