Advanced Professional Security (APS) is looking for a temporary new dedicated team for our contracted clients in Parachute, CO. This is a great opportunity to pick-up some extra work for a month or two to get ready for the holidays. APS has 18 years of experience in providing premier security services to ensure the safety, security, and peace of mind that our clients and customers come to expect and know.

Temporary Unarmed Security Monitoring - Substation Security guards are the first line of defense and monitoring for our clients. Having a dedicated guard on site helps deter vandalism, theft, and ensuring that infrastructure is not tampered with to allow local residents utilities they need and rely on daily.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report any illegal or suspicious activity to local law enforcement from the safety of your own vehicle as well as submit required reports to APS Dispatch
• Follow established protocols, respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies
• Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and other security personnel to coordinate efforts and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Make immediate emergency notifications as necessary when confronted with creditable information
• Maintain a command presence while appearing on post in accordance with uniform and PPE standards (as needed for individual assignment)
• Remain knowledgeable of security orders, directives, and procedures at all times
• Other related duties, as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to perform all functions of the job with, or without, reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in English written or oral form as well as speak and comprehend English without translation
• Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional experience
• Able to meet any special qualifications set forth in post orders or other relevant protocols and directives
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time (sleeping is NOT allowed)
• Must remain at site for the entirety of the shift
• Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred
• Must have own vehicle, phone with service, and be comfortable working alone
• Must be able to reliably commute to Parachute, CO

Shift Details

• Front-Half (Sunday – Wednesday): 4:30P – 11:30P or 11:30P – 6:30A
• Back-Half (Thursday – Saturday): 4:30P – 11:30P or 11:30P – 6:30A
• Shifts can be discussed further during interviewing

Pay

$26.00 per hour, paid weekly
