Temporary TOCC O'odham Niok Ki Translator for Assessment

In This Role You Will

  • Assist in translating and interpreting materials related to the TOCC O'odham Niok Ki language immersion program.
  • Work closely with certified assessment staff to gather relevant information during the assessment process.
  • Participate in training sessions to understand the specific needs of the program and assessment requirements.
  • Provide translation support during assessments to ensure clarity and understanding between all parties involved.

What It Takes

  • A High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Bilingual in English and O'odham - Speak, Read, and Write
  • Experience and familiarity with Early Childcare Classroom environment preferred
  • Possess an insured and reliable vehicle and a valid Arizona driver's license
  • Have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card -OR- must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Experience Required

  • Be available during morning hours from 9-12 for assessment activities for 2 assessments at the Pisinemo Head Start program in Sells
  • Must be able to speak and understand O'odham

Education Required

  • High School or better in General Education
  • Preferred Bachelors or better in Early Childhood Education or related field

Licenses & Certifications Required

  • FPC DPS Verification
  • Fingerprint Card Level 1
  • Auto Ins Certificate
  • Driver License
  • CPR and First Aid Cert
  • DHS Criminal Affidavit
