About the role
The Festival of Music is an educational music program culminating in a series of performances in Adelaide and ten regions across South Australia, involving 300 primary schools statewide. It is a joint venture of the Department for Education and the South Australian Public Primary Schools (SAPPS) Music Society, governed by the Board of the Music Society and the Manager PSMF.
The Production Manager works collaboratively with the Manager and the PSMF Team to stage the concert series, reporting directly to the PSMF Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assemble a team of Concert Managers and volunteers
- Develop and distribute production procedures
- Brief theatre personnel and distribute documentation regarding organisational and technical requirements
- Audition and manage Guest Artists and Foyer Concerts
- Source equipment
- Book venues, transport, and timetabling
Schedule
This is a 0.2 FTE position (1 day per week at the PSMF office on Thursdays), with up to approximately 40 extra irregular working days across the school year. Part-time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
The successful applicant, if already employed by the Department for Education, must negotiate release for the extra times with their site manager. TRT days will be provided.
Pay
$84,971 - $123,236 per annum (full-time equivalent, pro-rated for 0.2 FTE).
