About the role
Naracoorte High School is seeking a passionate and innovative Agriculture educator to join our dynamic and progressive team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded Agriculture program across Years 7-12, inspiring students through authentic, hands-on learning experiences and industry connections.
With strong student participation, extensive practical learning opportunities, and established industry partnerships, this position offers the chance to make a significant impact on agricultural education in the Limestone Coast. The role includes opportunities to work with our successful Agriculture Show Teams, supporting students as they prepare and exhibit livestock and produce at local, regional, and state competitions.
Our Agriculture program includes cropping, sheep and cattle enterprises, pigs, and poultry. Supported by excellent facilities and partnerships with local producers and industry organisations, the program provides authentic learning experiences and pathways into agriculture and related industries.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will need to provide examples of how you have built effective working relationships with colleagues, empowered learners to shape a learning experience, and outline your experience, skills, and interest in Agricultural Education.
- Collaboration and Professional Growth: Provide an example of how you have built effective working relationships with colleagues to share practice, learn from one another, and improve outcomes for learners.
- Learner Agency and Empowerment: Describe a time when you empowered learners to shape a learning experience. What strategies did you use, and what was the impact on student engagement and learning?
- Agricultural Education: Outline your experience, skills, and interest in Agricultural Education, including any involvement with practical agricultural programs, industry partnerships, agricultural show teams, or other relevant experiences.

Pay
The salary for this position is $84,971 - $123,236 per annum FTE / Teacher Conditions.
Schedule
This is a temporary position from 22/01/2027 to 26/01/2028, with a fraction of time of 1.0. Part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
