Temporary Study Coach

About the role

The STEM Institute is currently seeking a Temporary Study Coach to join their team of professionals.

Duties

• Facilitating active learning in STEM classrooms as part of the Dr. Laird Kramer's team.
• Serving as a study coach and partner with faculty to implement active learning in their classrooms by attending and engaging individual students and student groups, providing guidance and Socratic dialogue.
• The study coach will be required to meet with their faculty mentor at least weekly to prepare for the upcoming classes and review prior classes.
• They are also expected to review instructional materials and otherwise prepare for the class meetings.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of classroom subject.
• Basic level of Microsoft Office Suites.
• Ability to work independently as needed.
• Ability to provide direction to students.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma with three (3) years of experience or two (2) years of post-secondary education with one (1) year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Monday-Friday

Advertised Salary

$18.00 per hour.
