Temporary SPED Resource Room and Life Skills Teacher

About the role

Temporary SPED Resource Room and Life Skills Teacher for the remainder of the 2026‑2027 school year at Clark Elementary, Uinta County School District #1 in Evanston, Wyoming.

The position will remain open until filled; the district reserves the right to hire the most qualified candidate at any time.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a Wyoming Teaching Certificate and SPED K‑12 Generalist Certificate.
• Experience and knowledge of Reading, Language Arts and/or Math.
• Life skills and/or severe profound training/certification is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with curriculum, teaching techniques and general procedures associated with special education.
• Ability to be a contributing member of a team working for the benefit of each individual student.
• Willing and able to work in inclusionary settings in addition to teaching in pullout programs.
• Ability to supervise multiple paraprofessionals.
• Ability to educate students with cognitive disabilities.
• Ability to manage the student's personal hygiene and medical needs.

Pay

$61,400 – $108,650 (placement commensurate with experience and training)
