Temporary Social Media Intern
Position Information
The intern will serve as a junior content creator for the NC State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences social media accounts, focusing on creating engaging, social media-forward content promoting strategic excellence and wellbeing within the college. As an expert in the NC State CALS student voice, the intern will reflect the student experience and appear on camera for various pieces of content. The intern will ideate, create and edit social media content related to student, faculty and staff excellence and wellness initiatives, as well as appeal to prospective students with student experience content. Ideal candidates are passionate about NC State CALS, are social media savvy and eager to share their student experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative strategizing and social media content ideation
- Creating social media content for @NCStateCALS
- Vertical video content creation
- Video filming and production
- Creation of Instagram-specific content (photo, graphic and video)
- Creation of LinkedIn-specific content (photo, graphic and video)
- Vertical video content creation
- Capturing live photos/videos at events
- Managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines
- Participating in training and meetings as part of the intern curriculum
- Aid in caption writing, social media posting strategy and community management
- Create a final social media content project
Schedule
A flexible, hybrid schedule of approximately 10 hours per week. Hours generally fall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with some after-hours and weekend work.
