Purpose of Job
The Warehouse Team Member II provides a well-stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Service Managers. Must be able to deliver batteries on a regular basis. This is a temporary/seasonal position.
Job Components
- Load and unload batteries
- Restock batteries
- Charge, clean, date and rewrap batteries
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
- Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
- Operate a forklift and motor vehicle
- Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed
- Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed
- Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders
- Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed
- Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse
- Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred
- Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills and able to work under pressure
- Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods
- Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations
- Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
- Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements
- Able to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift
- Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements

Work Environment
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs
- Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals
- Exposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
