About the role
The Sara Bea Accessibility Program Assistant is a key member of the Sara Bea Accessibility Program team in the Center for Student Support and Care. This position supports the daily operations of the Testing Center and Access Consultants.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the Testing Center for students with accommodations ensuring the integrity and professionalism of the testing environment.
- Review accommodation requests to ensure necessary documentation is provided; correspond with students to obtain additional documentation if necessary.
- Provide supervision of undergraduate and graduate student employees including testing center student support, student note takers, aids, and sighted guides.
- Maintain confidentiality, maintain accurate records and data tracking, correspond with faculty regarding exam logistics, and help ensure all accommodations are implemented appropriately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows tasks through to completion.
- Carefully reviews work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Takes initiative and effectively manages responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Responds to challenges with patience, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach.
Additional Information
Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour; 20-25 hours per week including afternoons, early evenings with nights during peak times such as midterms and finals.
