Duties
- Cook up Data Collection: Assist in organizing and managing quantitative and qualitative data collection efforts across community sites.
- Support Daily Research Operations: Help maintain interviews and intervention schedules, prepare materials, and ensure smooth execution of study protocols.
- Aid in Recruitment & Interviews: Participate in outreach efforts to recruit study participants, conduct structured interviews, and ensure ethical and culturally sensitive engagement.
- Implement Retention Strategies: Implement follow-up procedures and communication plans to maintain participant involvement throughout the study duration.
- Maintain Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, assist in preparing progress reports, and contribute to research summaries and presentations.
- Collaborate with Local Partners: Collaborate with local partners, attend community events, and represent CEAL in outreach activities.
- Adhere to Confidentiality & Compliance: Adhere to IRB protocols, HIPAA regulations, and FIU research ethics standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with three (3) years of experience or two (2) years of post-secondary education with one (1) year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Background in public health, sociology, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially in diverse community settings.
- Experience with data entry, or research software (e.g., REDCap, SPSS) is a plus.
