TEMPORARY PRN Housekeeper- 2nd Shift - Iowa Lutheran Hospital

Temporary Housekeeper position on 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) with weekend rotation, up to 32 hours per week. Opportunity for increased hours after 90 days based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

Overview

We are seeking a Housekeeper I to help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. This role performs scheduled cleaning, responds to spills and emergencies, and ensures compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and infection control standards. The Housekeeper completes required training, follows vaccination protocols, and supports patient safety while providing professional, courteous interactions that enhance hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency cleaning, maintain equipment, and dispose of waste safely to ensure a hygienic environment
• Follow infection control, compliance, and safety protocols, complete required training, and support emergency operations
• Promote positive customer experiences through professional interactions with patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Schedule

3pm–11:30pm with weekend rotation; up to 32 hours per week.
