Housing Requirements

Housing is NOT provided. Due to extreme weather conditions in the arctic and for your safety, housing accommodations must be located and pre-arranged by the applicant prior to the start of employment. The applicant must pay for housing; it is not provided by the NSB. Please note: The Borough is currently experiencing a housing shortage. Due to the remote setting, applicants are urged to consider this factor prior to submitting an application.

Age Requirement

Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.

Driver's License

  • Valid Alaska Driver's License required.

Commercial Driver's License

  • Valid Alaska Commercial Drivers License required if applicable.

Commercial Endorsement Area(s)

Education Level

  • Some high school, High school diploma or GED, Some college, Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, Master's degree.

Paid Rate

All ETP positions are paid $20.67 hourly regardless of type of work performed.

Interested in receiving calls for any temporary Employment Training Program (ETP) opportunities.

NSTC Card

Must have a current North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) card if requested by another local entity for the purposes of employment.
