Temporary Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (10-12 weeks)

About the role

Learn ing Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is a growing organization dedicated to excellence, honesty, and ethics in the treatment of clients and colleagues. We have been providing programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries since 1978.

Responsibilities

• Treatment and evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing disorders resulting from acquired brain injury
• Development of strategies for clients in areas such as memory, language expression, speech production, pragmatics, comprehension, problem solving, conflict resolution, and swallowing disorders

Requirements

• Completion of a master’s degree in speech-language pathology and one-year experience completed with CCC from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and state licensure is required
• Experience in treatment of neurologically related physical disorders in community-based settings is strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
• Able to lift 50lbs

Pay

Salary range: $30,000 - $35,000 annually

Schedule

20-30 hours per week for 10-12 weeks starting August 10th, 2023, in our residential program in Gilroy, CA.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license and maintain responsible driving behaviors.

Skills

Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and practices, ability to assess and treat speech, language, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing disorders, and skills in developing strategies for clients in various areas.
