This temporary opportunity is designed to support increased customer demand from late October through early January. As a Temporary Part-Time Sales Associate, you play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and bringing the New Era brand to life in Downtown Buffalo. You’ll engage authentically with customers, support daily sales goals, and help create a welcoming, energetic environment on the sales floor. Responsibilities Provide superior level of prompt, efficient and courteous customer service Use best judgment in all customer service matters and to quickly resolve and address any customer complaintsAccurately process sales by processing cash, credit cards and correctly operate the point of sale systemMaintain store and product layoutPerform all regular cleaning duties and tasksContribute to team efforts and attended all training sessionsParticipate in store eventsBe collaborative, dependable and respectful; communicate positively regarding store management and company strategiesPerform physical inventory and follow all inventory proceduresMaintain store stock levels on floor and in backroomKeeps all sensitive matters confidentialOther duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Passion for the New Era brand the product we designBenchmark customer service and brand skillsAbility to take and give clear directions and set expectationsProblem solving abilitySelf-MotivatedAbility to work within teams and desire to be help build and be part of the store cultureAbility to stand/walk for extended periods of time, necessary to provide sales floor coverage related to customer service and loss preventionAbility to reach overhead, bend squat, kneel, carry product necessary for customer service, inventory restocking and store merchandisingAbility to walk up and down stairs, carry boxes, product and other necessary store related itemsAbility to perform regular store maintenance: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, cleanAbility to safely lift 50 lbsComfortable climbing ladder Education And Experience High school Diploma or GED preferred; additional experience will be considered in lieu of degreeOne (1) to three (3) years of experience working within a retail setting Travel Requirement The location for this position is 100% on-site in New York, NY0% to 5%; domestic and/or global The hourly rate for this posted position is $16.00 - $17.00 per hour and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
