Temporary Part-Time Reading Teacher - Oklahoma Connections Academy

Position Summary and Responsibilities

• Administer reading benchmark and diagnostic reading assessments.
• Analyze data and collaborate with classroom teachers to assist in identifying students who are in need of reading intervention.
• Create and maintain attendance records, discipline records, and communication logs.
• Assign and monitor appropriate Supplemental Instructional Support Programs (SISPs) to students.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certified to teach in Oklahoma.
• Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• A student and family focused approach.
• A high degree of flexibility.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player track record.
• Strong interpersonal skills which include the ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
