The Dobbs Ferry School District has an anticipated vacancy for a temporary (leave replacement) Elementary Classroom Teacher at Springhurst Elementary School, effective August 31, 2026 and for up to 12 weeks.
About the role
- NYSED certification in Childhood Education Grades 1-6 required.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching students in grades 1-6 according to the curriculum and standards.
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborating with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance educational outcomes.
Requirements
- NYSED certification in Childhood Education Grades 1-6.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- At least one year of teaching experience preferred.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Skills
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and instructional methods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
