The Dobbs Ferry School District has an anticipated vacancy for a temporary (leave replacement) Elementary Classroom Teacher at Springhurst Elementary School, effective August 31, 2026 and for up to 12 weeks.

About the role

  • NYSED certification in Childhood Education Grades 1-6 required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching students in grades 1-6 according to the curriculum and standards.
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Collaborating with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance educational outcomes.

Requirements

  • NYSED certification in Childhood Education Grades 1-6.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
