About the role

The Draper Recreation Center offers a variety of recreational activities including an outdoor pool, indoor leisure pool, indoor competitive lap pool, indoor field house, multiple fitness areas, party rooms, and drop-in child care. The center provides flexible hours and a fun work environment.

Responsibilities

• Adult Sports (18 and over): Supervise drop-in soccer sessions.
• Fitness (18 and over): Teach group fitness classes.
• Aquatics (15 and over): Work as a Water Slide Attendant, Lifeguard Trainee, Lifeguard, Lifeguard Supervisor, Swim Instructor Trainee, Swim Instructor, Swim Instructor Supervisor, and Swim Team Coach.
• Customer Service Team: Provide assistance to patrons.
• Building Attendant (18 and over): Maintain building cleanliness and order.
• Custodian (16 and over): Perform cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• Background Check: Required due to the nature of the position.
• Positions: Temporary, At-Will, FLSA non-exempt, not eligible for County benefits, not considered merit employees, "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard: Lifeguard certification and training.
• Swim Instructor: Certification and training in swimming lessons.
• Building Attendant/Custodian: Ability to work flexible hours and maintain cleanliness.

Skills

• Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
