Temporary Instrumental Accompanist
The University of Louisville School of Music is seeking piano accompanists to accompany voice lessons and/or play for vocal or instrumental juries, convocations, or area meetings.
About the role
This is an intermittent temp position with flexible hours. Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Accompany voice lessons for undergraduate and graduate singers
- Play for vocal or instrumental juries, convocations, or area meetings
- Must be a strong sight reader
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance or Collaborative Piano with experience as a collaborator, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Qualifications
- Experience accompanying undergraduate and graduate singers
- Familiarity with standard classical vocal repertoire
Skills
- Strong sight reading skills
