Temporary Field Assistant - Plant Genetics

Duties/Responsibilities

• Harvest fruit from various vegetable crops.
• Extract seed from the harvested fruit.
• Treat, clean, count, and package seed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Prefer experience working with plants or in agriculture.

Physical Demands

Work under hot conditions in the field and greenhouse. Lift 50 pounds. Work involves cleaning pepper seed – some of which are very pungent.

The hours will be 19 hours per week and flexible during the Monday-Friday 7am to 4pm work week.
