About the role
Under direct supervision, performs custodial duties necessary for the general maintenance of buildings. This is a temporary position limited to 1,040 hours per fiscal year.
Responsibilities
- Perform custodial tasks requiring carrying, lifting, and bending
- Empty trash and recycling
- Change light bulbs in assigned areas using a stepladder
- Shovel snow and spread ice melt to maintain building entrances
- Report needed repairs by completing repair slips
- Fill out order forms for requesting cleaning materials and supplies
- Lock and unlock doors
- Operate machines to facilitate cleaning activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions
- Prior cleaning experience preferred
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
