About the role

At TJX Companies you will deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with all customers, embodying customer‑experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss‑prevention standards and may be cross‑trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience through engagement and interaction.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss‑prevention standards.
• Cross‑train to work in multiple store areas as needed.
• Role‑model established customer‑experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and assist with overall store cleanliness.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink‑reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi‑tasking.
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.
