Typical Functions

• Staffs admissions desk and gift shop
• Handles direct sales to the public, including operation of the cash register and credit card machines
• Maintain positive relations with visitors, being courteous, respectful, and exercising flexibility to best serve the public during all work activities
• Gives visitors an introduction to the museum
• Gives guided tours as needed
• Affords assistance with collections inventory and cleaning
• Affords assistance with coordination for the moving of artifacts
• Affords help updating Argus database assisting with identification and photographing of artifacts
• Affords help in planning and presenting programs and special events

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
