Temperature Controls Specialist
Summary
Responsible for performing the repair, testing, troubleshooting, programming, monitoring, installation, and maintenance of building automation systems (BAS). Assist HVAC team with technical support and troubleshooting of DDC and mechanical systems. Monitor facilities to ensure correct operation and energy utilization standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in installing, testing, and programming, monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing building automation systems district-wide.
- Support HVAC technicians with troubleshooting and provide technical support to maintenance personnel.
- Program and optimize district BAS.
- Enhance automated equipment operations and program equipment run times; perform system programming and integration with automated systems.
- Calibrate Energy Management System (EMS) and implement set point changes to maintain acceptable standard environmental conditions.
- Maintain records of all district control systems and associated programs.
- Aid in creation or updating BAS graphical interfaces.
- Conduct historical trend data analysis and provide dashboards based on future district BAS needs.
- Support programs utilizing the BAS to maximum energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repair deficiencies.
- Respond to building emergencies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Related Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specialized technical training in BAS or DDC systems. Tridium experience preferred
- Three years of experience in HVAC systems, building control systems, construction, building maintenance preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-hire, post-offer physical examination.
- Valid Colorado driver's license.
- A copy of an individual Motor Vehicle Record must be submitted at time of application.
- Manufacturer training in districts BAS within 1 year.

Salary Information
All Classified positions are paid on an hourly basis. All Newly hired classified employees are placed initially on Step 1 of the pay grade for their position. Classified employees can advance an additional 7 steps (maximum Step 8) based on their previous experience. Final hourly placement on the Classified Salary schedule is dependent on the Grade Level for the position being posted and employees' previous work experience. "Grade" refers to position or job classification and "Step" refers to the number of work experience credit or service years. See our Classified Salary Schedule for hourly rates.
