Duties & Responsibilities
- Receives parts from external sources requiring receipt into the ERP system.
- Reports instances of damaged goods to appropriate authority.
- Processes receipt of purchased goods into ERP system.
- Disburses received goods to appropriate personnel as directed by procedure, Team Leader or Work Center Manager.
- Receives parts for shipment from manufacturing or withdraw from finished goods or kit inventory as required.
- Checks to ensure that parts may be processed for shipment as required by customer.
- Packages parts to ship in accordance with applicable industry and customer standards.
- Prepares applicable shipping carton labels using appropriate system for the assigned carrier.
- Checks to ensure that parts may be processed for shipment as required by Supply Chain Department in the case of product being sent for outside processing.
- Participates in monthly inventory counts and 6S activities.
- Reads, understands and works to F-SOP-230, F-SOP-4300.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. currency, weight measurements, volume and distance.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Valid drivers’ license required.
- Ducommun trained and certified to operate forklift. Recertification is required every 3 years.
