Job Description Summary
The primary responsibilities of this position are to:
- Oversee daily operations of Stem Cell and Xenograft Core's production breeding colony
- Coordinate with users and Core personnel to plan, execute, and report to the Core Director and users on all in vivo experiments
- Address issues related to animal husbandry, user training, and compliance with procedures and regulations, maintain and quality control a database to track animals, experiments, users, and in vivo services delivered by the Core
- Report to Core Directorship on animal availability, services requested and delivered, animal-related issues, user experiments planning, resource allocation recommendations, user training and compliance, and in vivo model development
- Afford assistance in supervising a junior in-vivo technician
- Perform in-vivo imaging services (optical and ultrasound) in collaboration with the Department of Radiology
