About the role
The Temporary Director, Brand Marketing – BUXOM is a hands-on, high-impact role at the center of bringing the brand to life. This individual will support the day-to-day execution across key initiatives and launches, ensuring everything lands with speed, precision, and bold creative impact.
Partnering closely with the Brand Lead and cross-functional teams, this role connects strategy to execution — translating ideas into fully integrated, consumer-facing campaigns across every touchpoint. From media to creative to product storytelling, this person ensures BUXOM shows up in a way that is culturally relevant, cohesive, and unmistakably on-brand.
Primary Responsibilities
- Marketing Execution & Launch Excellence
- Lead day-to-day execution of global marketing initiatives, ensuring launches are delivered on time and with excellence across all channels
- Partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize brand strategy into actionable, consumer-facing plans
- Maintain momentum across multiple workstreams, balancing speed with attention to detail
- 360° Campaign & Media Integration
- Partner closely with Media, PR & Influencer, Social, and Omni-Channel to ensure fully integrated, consumer-first campaigns
- Bring a strong media lens to campaign planning and execution, ensuring alignment between investment, channel strategy, and creative output
- Ensure consistency and impact across paid, owned, and earned channels
- Creative & Brand Stewardship
- Oversight on creative development and execution, ensuring all assets reflect BUXOM’s brand DNA and elevate brand equity
- Provide clear direction and feedback to creative partners to ensure cohesive storytelling across all touchpoints
- Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency in voice, visuals, and messaging globally
- Product Development Partnership & Oversight
- Partner closely with Product Development to support launch readiness and ensure alignment between product pipeline and marketing execution
- Support the Product Development as needed, serving as a key escalation point to help remove roadblocks and ensure smooth cross-functional execution
- Stay closely connected to product innovation to inform storytelling and go-to-market plans
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, with a strong focus on 360° campaign development and execution
- Strong media experience, with understanding of how to connect media strategy to creative and brand storytelling
- Experience across both established (prestige/luxury) and emerging or high-growth brands
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments
- Experience overseeing or partnering closely with Product Development teams
- Strong creative sensibility and ability to guide brand storytelling and asset development
- Highly agile and scrappy mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
