TEM Asbestos Analyst - Eurofins Built Environment Testing, Emeryville, CA

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking an TEM Asbestos Analyst in Emeryville, CA. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples for asbestos using TEM microscopy.
• Adhere to EPA, NVLAP, ELAP, OSHA, and NIOSH standards for asbestos identification.
• Accurately enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform independent data reviews for other analysts' work.
• Perform analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples, and other quality control samples as needed.
• Maintain client service and provide technical support as needed.
• Assist the QA manager in developing, implementing, and collecting data for QA processes for different analytical tests.
• Perform confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel.
• Complete all analytical testing QA-related tasks as needed.
• Achieve and maintain necessary laboratory accreditations.
• Update and maintain all necessary training and QA documents on-site as necessary.
• Coordinate and manage projects according to their urgency and deadlines for timely delivery.
• Assist colleagues on analytical questions as necessary.
• Participate in Lean initiatives and projects as called upon.
• Follow company policies and procedures and ensure coworkers are doing the same.

Qualifications

• 0-1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy.
• Undergraduate degree in Geology, Biology, or related science, or completion of a TEM Asbestos training course.
• Experience utilizing a Transmission Electron Microscope preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
