About the role

Tellers at Central Pacific Bank are the face of the company to both customers and non-customers. Their primary responsibilities include processing routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and merchant transactions. They also provide a warm welcome to every customer who visits the branch.

Responsibilities

• Processing routine financial transactions
• Providing a warm welcome to customers
• Helping customers meet their financial goals by informing them about available products and services
• Performing all duties and interacting with internal and external customers in alignment with the bank's Core Values
• Exhibiting core competencies in delivering positive Customer Interactions, Empowerment and Ownership, and demonstrating key professional and performance skills such as Active Listening, Effective Oral and Written Communication, Action and Solution-Oriented, and Thoroughness
• Cash Handling & Customer Service: Providing an exceptional customer experience, handling financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, complying with security procedures, and safeguarding assigned and branch cash according to Security Procedures
• Deposit Product Referrals: Holding financial conversations to determine needs, identifying referral opportunities, actively cross-selling bank products and services, participating in campaigns, and submitting customer referrals and reports

Requirements

• Teller I Requirements: 6 months or more of experience in cash handling and customer service
• Teller II Requirements: 1+ year(s) of experience in cash handling and customer service, 1+ year(s) of experience in a Financial Institution and/or Teller experience

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
