Responsibilities

  • Make the first impression to customers as they enter the branch, warmly greeting them and guiding them to the appropriate colleague.
  • Engage in constant customer support, providing efficient, effective, and courteous service both in person and via telephone.
  • Serve customers by offering information on Rockland Trust's banking products tailored to their individual needs.
  • Ensure customers feel cared for by performing duties requiring high levels of accuracy, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checks, and other financial transactions.
  • Work closely with the training team and branch team to understand and complete assigned tasks, including Rockland Trust's Teller Training.
  • Make decisions under the supervision of the immediate supervisor, which may expand as the position gains knowledge and experience.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate business goals.
  • Sales and service-oriented personality.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work within normal office requirements, including long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work schedule, including weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes.

  • 1-2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.

Pay
