About the role
Direct and coordinate teller operational functions, respond to inquiries and resolve issues while projecting a professional image.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customers are assisted in person, by telephone, or electronically meeting or exceeding Bank standards.
- Review, examine, and evaluate teller work for accuracy and completeness and lead in resolving cash balancing discrepancies.
- Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of tellers, providing feedback and guidance on laws, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the flow of cash for the branch and ATM responsibilities, approving and reviewing large items.
- Ensure security testing is completed.
- Audit and process daily branch NSF’s, proof clearing, and collection items.
- Develop and train new and existing staff members to ensure long-term success and recruit as needed.
- Network within communities to find and attract new business.
- Manage weekly branch overdraft reports by initiating customer contact according to overdraft guidelines and collection policy.
- Contribute to meeting department and branch profitability goals.
- Perform teller and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
- Typically requires three to five years of Teller experience with increasing responsibility and possessing the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential requirements for the job.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
