About the role
Northwest Tellers play a crucial role in our retail network, interacting directly with customers to ensure a positive banking experience.
Responsibilities
- Achieve financial wellness activity goals, including identifying referral opportunities and contributing to overall sales performance.
- Assist customers and visitors with questions, problem resolution, and other needs.
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and inform them about product/service features and benefits.
- Refer customers to appropriate team members for complex requests or products/services.
- Balance teller drawer daily and participate in various office meetings and activities.
- Deliver on the North(west) star experience, focusing on customer financial wellness and exceptional customer service.
- Complete educational training as assigned and continuously educate oneself using bank-provided programs and applications.
- Have a general knowledge of all office systems and software, performing maintenance and possessing in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, and digital offerings.
- Adhere to security and dual control processes.
- Participate in branch opening and closing tasks as needed.
- Protect the bank from unnecessary risk by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures.
- Work as a team with co-workers to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism, and supporting management with special requests.
- Work evenings and weekends as scheduled, assigned, or necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations.
- Use Microsoft Office software and other department-specific software to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Banking and/or retail experience preferred.
